Cherish Each Moment – but record it too!

We left Kentucky today, traveled a bit through Indiana, to land in Illinois at another well maintained cute western-town themed campground (I-64 KOA).

Our campsite had a tranquil view of a flowering field, being plowed just yards away from us. We busted out the drone and flew it overhead later that evening, only to realize that we had not pressed the recording button, doh! Still very much drone pilot rookies.

Pics to the right are placeholders for now (although the first one looks very similar to the real thing!)

Don’t you just hate it when you’re left wanting more?  My original itinerary, meticulously planned out during the final months of prepping for
Retirement and selling the house was/is CRAZY!!!  The ambitiousness of covering so much ground in short bursts is in reality becoming a bit too overwhelming. We got our first taste of that feeling on Stop 3 in South Carolina. 3-4 days turned into 17. It was great to truly relax and soak in the beach vibes. So far, all of our stops feel way too short. There is just so much to see in one locale (much less the US!). Stay a bit longer vs. move on? It’s a real struggle.

So Stop #4 was a just a one-night pitstop. Stayed in a very pleasant campground in Newberry South Carolina. Gnomes and more kept us smiling at every turn. It was hard to leave there – pics and more coming soon, promise!  https://photos.app.goo.gl/kNj3dLj9AmEgXmYj7
